George Will has a new column up, and it should be read as a warning to the Democrats but I don’t know if they will heed it.
Toward the end, Will writes something that I had been thinking this morning as well - that the out-of-control Dems, increasingly wagged by the tail of the extreme left - are going to complicate things for Hillary Clinton, and that if she is smart, she will get out before these folks and tell them to knock it off.
If Hillary were as smart as her supporters are always saying, she’d be speaking out against the political theater in Crawford outside Walter Reed Hospital and speaking in favor of the troops she someday hopes to lead…but I suspect that somewhere deep in Mrs. Clinton’s heart, all of this is exciting to her, a throwback to the glory days, and she cannot bring herself to criticize them. She’ll remain silent, which is what she always does when she is playing things safe…which is what she is always playing, come to think of it.
She should be in front of this story, urging these folks to find a better way to express themselves - she should be showing leadership. Instead, she’s silent. Silence usually implies consent, so it is not too far-fetched to believe that on some level this Presidential Wannabee is…very likely… cheering them on. If she is, if she allows her enthusiasm to relive Vietnam to overwhelm her political ambition…she could screw herself and those ambitions in the long run.

Not saying I like Hilary (I actually FEAR a Hilary Presidency) but I’m afraid she may be smarter than we would ever really want to believe.
The Democratic Party’s drift into loonyville began in earnest during Kerry’s campaign. Much of it was instigated by Dean and Kucinich, but Kerry really drank the kool-aid as well. In fact, Kerry was the first “legitimate” candidate to start spouting complete nonesense, IMO.
Remember who was “advising” Kerry during that period of time? It was Bill Clinton.
Could it be possible that Hilary and Bill set the Dem Party on course for Loonyland, so that they could come in and save the day?
Hmm.

Please, please. No good advice to Ms. Clinton. Imagine if someone tipped her off to what she should be doing, and she actually did it. Better that the only words she hears should arise from her own instincts and her dunderheaded advisors.

The ’60’s live in Hillary’s cold, dark heart…Bet she wishes she could join them! Jane? Any room in that peanut oil bus? Wish people with peanut allergies would just sue them and get it over with….

Hilary Clinton scares me deeply, in a fundamental way that her husband did not.
She reminds me of the character Martin Sheen played in the movie version of “The Dead Zone.”

March Hare,
That’s how I feel about her too. I actually liked Bill Clinton. I know us Conservatives aren’t supposed to say that, but, that’s me.
On the other hand, Hilary looks like a cold, cunning psychopath to me. I have no idea what she would do if she were President.
