Outrageous photo manipulation

The perpetual adolescents in the press are at it again - these shining pillars of truth and justice have manipulated a photo of Condoleeza Rice in a way they would never manipulate one of, say, Hillary. Michelle Malkin has the photos. Emails need to be written about it. As Michelle says, Ask USA Today’s Graphics and Photos Managing Editor, Richard Curtis (rcurtis@usatoday.com), what the ^$%#@+! is going on.

I keep saying I want to respect and admire the press again…but man, they’re making it harder, every day. It seems clear to me that the noble craft of journalism had been taken over by scalliwags and malicious children in dire need of basic ethics training, and a good solid boot up the rear-end. Sideways.

More maliciousness here, and this time it’s quite racist against another black Republican.

On a different topic of journalism and where it is at, Jonah Goldberg has a thoughtful piece.

WELCOME: Michelle Malkin readers! While you’re here please look around; I’m a bit under the weather, so blogging has been light today, however I did manage a light fisking of Hillary’s latest speech. Within the last 24 hours we’ve discussed the press ignoring appreciative words from the Middle East, how WMD Intelligence was “accepted as true” way pre-dated the Bush Administration, and what a problem Joe Wilson seems to have getting his own story straight. A job for Our Lady of Good Counsel?

For a long time now, the MSM has shown a willingness to distort teh truth, in print.

Why would anyone believe they would not resort to the same distortions with images?

    DEMONIZING CONDI

***scroll down for updates*** Check out the photo of Condoleezza Rice that was published by USA Today last week: Notice anything peculiar about her eyes? No, Condi isn’t possessed; the photo was manipulated. This news comes courtesy of From The…

FWIW, I think she looks serious and intent- exactly what I would hope a good Sctary of State, or president, should look.
Demonic? Are people really that bored, to look for things to complain about?

    Shoddy Photoshop job.

Even I, who doesn’t have an Art degree, can do a much better Photoshop correction on a picture of my wedding dress and portraits than what is shown there.

(The decolletage of my gown had some “leaves”, and one of them was folded inwards. Dang! Why didn’t anyone notice before? :( )

[…] As is my usual custom on slow days, I just took a look at the Drudge website. On the left side of the margin I see a story about some photo doctoring case. After clicking on the link, visitors arrive at the website for Michelle Malkin and are treated with a rather trite article about how the photo demonizes Condoleeza Rice. Not only that, but then she lists a bunch of other people who are upset by this “scandal.” (here, here, and here) […]

exactly what I would hope a good Sctary of State

Hey! That typo was nearly right — Scary of State is exactly what she should be called. Ergo:

    The Scary of State

I tried to help out MSM with their Photoshopping. Ain’t I nice?

    Cheers,
    Victoria

    Victoria,

Meant to be an abbreviation, not a typo. Saw the pic has been removed-clicked on your links :-). From poking around, looks like the right blogoshpere was on top of it. Whew!
