October 31, 2005Over the top left fringe needs parentingI know, I know, the extreme left participates in the primaries and the extreme left donates all the money, but really, some grown up in the Democrat party needs to tell these adolescents acting out that their intellectual dishonesty and over-the-top carrying on is not going to get them the White House. Michelle Malkin lists some of the ways these folks are going to “mourn” Bush’s re-election on November 2 (Grow up!), and she describes some of the Halloween antics for tonight: Prisoners wearing pink triangles - some could have bloodied stones attached to their heads (signs on them could read, “Jailed/Executed For Being Gay”) Women in white shrouds with large/visible/bloody hangers and blood stains People dressed as doctors with nooses around their necks (or a large bullet wound) and black hoods over their heads, with a sign that says, “Executed For Providing Abortions” There are banners, too: “2008 is Too Late! Real Horrors Are Already Here!” “It Doesn’t Have to Be This Way: Nov 2: NO SCHOOL. NO WORK. UNION SQUARE. NOON” Two Days Til The Beginning of the End of the Bush Regime! Michelle has more. These perpetual adolescents in perpetual hysterics really need to be tamped down, I think, if the Democrats really want to be considered a serious party, again. Which, I hope they do. We need TWO serious parties in this country. Not one serious party (albeit with spineless legislators) and one party that is two parts Romper Room and one part Group Therapy. BTW, in case you’re wondering, these are not the First Children I wrote about here. These are just the useful idiots who will, eventually, be American Kapos. Meanwhile, Gateway Pundit reminds us there are dead people voting. http://theanchoressonline.com/2005/10/31/over-the-top-left-fringe-needs-parenting/trackback/ 7 Responses to “Over the top left fringe needs parenting” |

Who knew that the Left would grow so if we allowed them to take over our education system and media(news and entertainment)? To quote Alice Cooper, “And I laughed to myself at the man and the lady who never conceived those billion Dollar babies…”

They don’t get it, do they?
‘
Anchoress, they will NEVER grow up. They’re in Neverland!

“two days to the end of the Bush regime”????
*
perhaps the Secret Service should be investigating that as a threat?
*
I would be very concerned about someone saying that - sounds too much like suggesting a violent overthrow of the government (the MAJORITY ELECTED government) to me for my taste
*
yeah, I know, it’s hyperbole, but I’ve also known of people who claimed they were going to kill themselves - and who made that claim in a hyperbolic manner - who later on, did.

The Left keeps pushing the envelope… right over the cliff of extremism.
I’m just amazed that so many supposedly normal people line up to be associated with them.

I think the problem boils down to immaturity. When we’re young we
have a tendency to try to pass on the blame, blame others, or
simply deny and lie. Anything to avoid the truth, and the
consequences. As we learn and grow older, as we mature, most of
us realize that there’s no sin in admitting to failure, accepting
our own error. This is how we learn and grow.
But the Left has a genetic flaw. They are incapable of admitting
error. To do so, for many of them, would reveal to themselves,
much less the world at large, that their own lives have been
lies. Based on error, self-aggrandisment, self-interest, and
childishness, any admission of wrong - of error - is an admission
of a life wasted. This is manifested in their outright refusal to
grow up.
As an example, let me cite the “Three Stooges”. For me, as a
child, the Three Stooges were the un-crowned Kings of Yoks. They
were the funniest men to cross the television screen. And, much
like the Warner Brothers cartoons ( a close second!), the adult
references were lost on me. But the stories were so funny, the
situations so side-splittingly hilarious, that anyone who didn’t
like them - or thought Shemp the better ‘third’ stooge - was
barely deserving of notice.
But over the years I have grown up. I have learned to enjoy more
subtle forms of humor. I’ve found that dry wit, or cutting
sarcasm, can be just as satisfying for my humor fix. Do I still
enjoy the Stooges? You betcha! But I can go years without
watching one of their shorts. And along with the laughter,
there’s that feeling of nostalgia, that yearning for the
simplicity of my youth. And there’s no way to go back. Why?
Because I’ve grown up.
The same is true of political beliefs. What we feel so strongly,
so deeply, in our souls when we are young adults, must, with time
and experience, mature.
As an adult, I can see both sides of a postition, and not damn
those with whom I disagree. Why should I? I may think they’re in
error, but they are not enemies just for that. If they cannot see
the truth via facts, then they remain immature. They remain
political children. Thus the unending celebration of the 60s. The
Left just cannot accept that they cannot go home again.
And, like children who are refused a candy or a toy, the Left
lashes out at those who oppose them. Just like children, they do
so with venom and hatred. They pout. They kick. They scream. They
lie.
The Left is in error on so many fronts. And they cannot grow up
and see the truth. A ‘Time Out’ will not help, either. That’s
where the so-called Right has to step in and be the responsible
adult, set boundaries, punish bad behavior, reward good behavior.
And we ain’t seeing that, either!
That’s how I see things. Senator Harry Reid is a child, and a not
very nice child, either.
