Gateway Pundit has links to a great chat between Hugh Hewitt and Helen Thomas (as transcribed by Radioblogger.
Hugh asks Helen a question that demands a reasonable answer, and she cannot bring herself to answer it:
HT: Do you care whether…do you care whether a president says there are weapons of mass destruction that can destroy you, destroy us in 45 minutes?
HH: But Helen, did you think that he knew going in that they weren’t there?
HT: Yes.
HH: And so you do think he lied going it? He deceived us all?
HT: I think that he had…there were facts, they’ve cherry picked the facts, they wanted a war.
Aw, Helen, be a little logical here, would you? They “wanted a war,” so they sat around and came up with a justification for it…and that justification was something they KNEW to be UNTRUE and which would be FOUND to be UNTRUE? C’mon, even a little common-sense would tell you that a president who “wants” a war will at least be smart enough to PLANT the freaking weapons he says will be there, rather than endure years of suspicion, condemnation and “liar-liar-pants-on-fire” idiocy! Did you forget all of this, or where they lies, too?
Yer just not being sensible, now, Helen!

There was a time Helen Thomas was a deservedly respect journalist.
That time was a long time ago- as in, when we were playing in the sandbox.

How To Kill A Mockingbird
On a funny note Looney old Helen Thomas, the dean of the White House Press corps, lovingly known as Aunt Bethany, was interviewed by Hugh Hewitt. I urge you to go and read the transcript at Radioblogger immediately, but for now will leave you with one…

I can never decide whether I am amazed or disappointed whenever I find out Helen Thomas is still alive.

She let her press-bestowed status go to her head long ago. She’s a sad joke. Very sad.
