I’s an Iris?

HASH(0x8cf9cc8)
You are an Iris:

You are logical, analytical, dignified, and wise.

You are studious by nature and may prefer

books to people. You tend to be a serious

person but are capable of making others laugh

with your dry sense of humor. Friends always

benefit from your advice.

Symbolism: Over the centuries the iris has come to

symbolize faith, wisdom, hope, and promise in

love.

Well, alright, then. I knew I wouldn’t be a Carnation like Julie, but I like Carnations (they always remind me of my First Communion Bouquet) and I can never have enough pink roses…an Iris?

    You are a Carnation:

You are friendly, energetic, cheerful, and bubbly. You love being around people. Outgoing and talkative, you rarely meet a stranger. Others feel at ease around you because of your playful nature.

Symbolism: In Victorian times carnations were given to show fascination with another. They also symbolize friendship and whimsicalness.

  2. Sigmund Carl and Alfred Says:

    Crabgrass.

[...] I’ve gone to The Anchoress’ site, read everything new she has and took a quiz (I’m a carnation), went to Musing Minds and read everything new there, along with reading everything new on the other blogs listed on my blog roll. [...]

I don’t want to be a rose, though. I want to be an Iris- the flower of hope. I’ve always love the wild Irises. My husband just asked me why I don’t want to be a rose- because I’m a thorn?

  5. Romeocat Says:

    Oh, I’m a Lily!

You are graceful, gentle, calm, and pure and
perhaps a little shy (though your shyness is part of your charm). You are a very honorable person who always wants to do the right thing. Your calm attitude has a soothing effect on others.

Symbolism: The lily has long been used as a symbol of majesty, honor, chastity, and purity of heart.

    Wow, I LIKE that!

    I’m an Iris, too.

  8. Mary Says:

I’m a lily who wants to be a red tulip. :-)

  9. Kimsch Says:

    I am a Lily.

  10. Atticus Says:

An Iris, and wholly unsurprised given the questions asked. I must admit, however, that I am surprised that the flower associated with knowledge is also associated with hope. When’s the last time you met a hopeful academic?

  11. Darrell Says:

An Iris, too. I see roughly a third of quiz-takers get this result…

    I’m a Rose…

You had a bouquet for your First Communion? We weren’t allowed to carry anything!

  13. TheAnchoress Says:

I LOVED my First Communion bouquet! But no, we weren’t permitted to carry it. All of our mothers held them for us and we got them back after mass. The flowers were just for the pictures. I loved, loved, loved mine, though.

  14. benning Says:

I used to give my mother an Iris each Mother’s Day. I have always loved thier look, their dignity. So, congratulations, Iris!

  15. benning Says:

And I just earned a spot as an Iris. LOL

Not surprised that Siggy is crabgrass. Not at all! Heheheee!
