Wounded, Sirrah, but not dead.
Or, insert “TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES” card with a picture of a guy falling off a ladder, here.
Please bear with me. Had a bad reaction to some meds - am not quite on an even keel, just yet. Brains feeling still a little scrambled. Some might count that an improvement, I know!
Blogging will continue light-ish, but I’ll try to get functional sometime today! Thanks for your patience.
In the meantime, if you read nothing else this week, do read this masterpiece from Gerard Vanderleun on Judas, A Saint for Our Seasons, which is truly something special. Go. Read. Nothing I have to say is anywhere near as important, today.
And don’t forget to go vote in Hugh Hewitt’s straw poll for April. I’m still saying only Giuliani/Rice can beat Clinton/Obama.
Also, thanks to Public Eye which has added me to the blogroll! They link and respond to an interesting challenge by Jeff Jarvis.
And congrats to Newton.

My favorite Pastor once told me: “Be careful who you listen to”. That applies to many t.v. documentaries like the one being shown by Nat. Geo.
Judas betrayed Jesus. He probably didn’t expect the horror that would result, but betray he did. He was the first, not the last……At the garden, while Jesus prayed and sweated blood, he asked a simple favor of the eleven men who claimed to love Him so. The men he had amazed with his teachings, miracles, wisdom, and His love. He asked them to stand guard. Just stay awake, and watch His back. These eleven men could not do that simple thing. How would you, if you were Jesus, have felt about that? Later, they hid in fear of being associated with Jesus. Now, that being said, these same eleven became “super martyrs” after the resurrection, suffering all kinds of torture and abuse for preaching His name. It is this complete “about face” that provides us such strong evidence for our faith. So, I will probably watch the Judas show, but I will keep in mind “who I am listening to”.
