It was only hours ago that I mentioned what a tremendous job Pajamas Media has been doing on war in the Middle East and now comes a release that says it more explicitly - and better - than I:
With full-time editors in Sydney, Barcelona and Los Angeles working with contributing bloggers worldwide in such places as Tel Aviv, Haifa, Baghdad and Washington, Pajamas Media has been offering round-the-clock battlefield reporting in tandem with the most thoughtful commentary from the global blogosphere and traditional sources. Under the guidance of Editor-in-Chief Gerard Van der Leun in Seattle, Pajamas Media mixes the best news and views from on-the-scene citizen journalists with seasoned professionals
Indeed. It’s up-to-the-minute, on-the-scene and dynamic - everything a news-gathering organization should be! The outstanding work that has been done these past weeks by Richard Fernandez (in Sydney), Jose Guardia (in Barcelona), Vanderleun and new Managing Editor Juliette “Baldilocks” Ochieng is creating the standard, I think, for what information-gathering and dissemination will be in the early 21st Century. Hats off to all - and I’m kinda happy to be a small part of it, applauding over here from my little corner of the woods! Well done!
