I swore I was done writing for today, but this is just breaking, and I’m just going to direct you to links which say it all.

ABC alters 9/11 show under pressure

All I am going to say is that Tim Robbins better never lecture us about the “chill wind of suppression of free speech” coming from the evil, Nazi Bush regime again.

And I do think this will backfire on the Clintons. I believe with all my heart that he would have been much smarter to play this down, not up. But with Clinton, it’s always been more about being smart, than clever, right? I can say that because I too am more clever than smart, thus I recognise it in others. Clinton never could resist trying to push for cover, when a simply shrug-and-sigh admission would both meet the case and close the case. I think in the long-run he’ll be sorry he pushed for this, ABC will be sorry they caved, and sane, moderate liberals (classical liberals, if you like) will be appalled.

The story here is the backlash that the Disney/ABC execs experienced was completely unexpected and is what caused them to question themselves and make these changes at all. Had this been the Bush Admin pressuring, they wouldn’t have even taken the call. The execs and studio bosses are dyed in the wool liberals and huge supporters of Clinton and the Democratic Party in general. They had no idea any of this could happen. As I understand this, the lawyers and production team spent literally months corroborating every story point down to the sentence. The fact that they were the attacked and vilified by their “own team” took them completely by surprise; this is the first time they’ve been labeled right-wing, conservative conspiracists.

As someone mentioned, somewhere, Bush Derangement Syndrome has so saturated the left, this will not be the last time they get so labeled.
