A great ad. Just the latest in a whole string of really great, upbeat, human ads which have avoided the gutterbrawling we’re seeing in so many other campaigns.
I have not sent a dime to any candidates in this election. I’m making an online donation to Steele’s campaign today because he’s the only candidate I’ve seen running for any office who makes me want to vote FOR him, instead of against someone else. Bravo.
We need more smart and down-to-earth people like Steele in the game. The only way to keep them there is to support ‘em with funds and then VOTE for them.

Steele probably doesn’t have much of a chance of victory in Maryland. Although a blue state, Republicans can win here, but unfortunately, not a black Republican.
I grew up on the Eastern Shore. The people there have strong values, work hard, and would give you the shirt off their backs. They are farmers, fishermen, crabbers, raise poultry, and own small businesses. Just terrific folks. However, there remains a hint of bigotry and racism towards blacks and Jews. For a Republican to win Maryland, he simply must carry the Eastern Shore, to help offset the strong Democrat vote in populous P.G. and Montgomery counties. I fear that in the voting booth, many Shoremen just won’t allow themselves to pull Steeles’ lever. Even though he represents everything they believe in.
I have lived in the Md. suburbs of D.C. for 25 years now. I hope I’m wrong and things have changed significantly there…but I doubt it.

In today’s debate, when asked if he would support banning fertility clinics from destroying embryonic stem cells, Michael Steele refused to state that he would. There is such hypocrisy among conservatives on this issue, it’s unbelievable. Flushing embryonic stem cells down the sink or incinerating them is okay but to use them for possible life-saving research is completely unacceptable.

Michael Steele is a real class act and someone the nation deserves to have in the Senate. Thanks for donating to him. I’ve done the same.
