The end of the beginning…

One more ugly campaign ad to go…

Today, I’ll be in and out with interesting links and I’ll have a few windows open all day for quick refreshment and updates. Which ones will they be? Why, thanks for asking - you might want to keep them open, too!

Pajamas Media: Breaking news, a running roundup of MSM and Alternative News plus interesting blog posts as they’re slapped up.

Lucianne.com: No one is faster than an Ldotter at bringing up pieces you might not see, particularly from Europe and Asia.

Captains Quarters: Ed Morrissey is the king of producing fast, penetrating and insightful commentary on a breaking story.

Instapundit: Instafast doses of news, blogger profundity, reader tips and healthy snark!

Michelle Malkin and Hot Air : For take-no-prisoners monitoring of adolscent tantrums and other shenanigans at the polling places, this is the blog to watch.

Gateway Pundit: For voter fraud concerns, particularly in St. Louis, which is always ripe with it.

WizBang: For smart commentary and analysis from varied voices.

As always I will be checking in with most of the folks on my blogroll, because they’re all very smart and they all have something interesting to say…but if I leave more windows that than open, I inevitably watch my computer shut down.

Meanwhile:

Do not let this day go by without reading and sharing Bill Whittle’s remarkable essay. The part about StupidMoronDubya and the F-102 is enough to blow you away, but it’s all brilliant!

The problem of voter fraud cannot be emphasized enough and Glenn Reynolds has a good piece up at TCS Daily. Remember…it was blatant in Washington State in 2004…and they got away with it, too.

Thomas Sowell
says there is a more nuanced sort of fraud also going on from the left.

Jim Geraghty says Obi Wan is feeling a positive force.

Other stories:

Michael Kinsley looks at the Dem platform. Basically, it’s lipstick-on-a-pig. Seems like information that would have been helpful a week ago…writes Ed Morrissey: The Democrats offer defeat, retreat, and an economic collapse darned near complete. Even Kinsley can’t put a good face on this fiasco. No wonder Nancy Pelosi has been hiding for the last week. Hmph. I thought she was just hiding until the swelling went down from her last peel.

Go to a Rally and get asked if you’re a Jew, from the tolerant bunch in the North.

Betsy’s AP Government Students are projecting winners

Dan Rather will be mumbling “it was true” all over Comedy Central with Jon Stewart, tonight, where he will get to blather his Ratherisms. I don’t know what it is about CBS newsmen that makes them so unwilling to get off the damn stage, even unto buffoonishness…

Jay Nordlinger is always a guy to read, and he likes classical music, too!

Beth
is taking her daughter to the polls with her, a good idea.

Think about The Battle and read Jules Crittenden’s review. You’ll want to get it. And say a prayer for our troops, too.

Ummm…In NY, you can choose your gender

What you should know about exit polls.

If you’re feeling edgy, just play this thing over and over again in the background - it will make you happy. If you’re feeling very edgy, WATCH it. You can’t watch it and not smile. Well…I can’t, anyway! :-)

Only Bryn can make his audience stand and sing “Oh What a Beautiful Morning”…in Singapore.

My dear hubby and I went to vote early this morning and it was busy already. I can rest easy about my vote here in my little town. It is very small only about 4500 people. we know each other very well, we have a very excellent election board. Mr Dabb is over it and he is an American first formost and always, dedicated to fair play and honesty. if anyone tried and hanky panky with the votes Mr Dabb would be mighty mad, and you don’t make an honest man mad. especially delbert Dabb. he would skin you alive and hang your carcuss out to dry as an example to any one stupid enough to try anything dishonest on his watch. he loves America and all it stands for. Oh that the country was full of Delbert Dabbs. we would be so much better off

Election Day Roundup: “That’s Gonna Leave a Mark”

I’m not doing much official “election blogging.”  I have a good list of lame excuses (more on that later tonight) but suffice it to say it has nothing to do with lack of interest and much more to do with lack of time, resources and s…

Interesting, that ad. “He colors *inside* the lines.” Placed right after your rant about today’s cartoons, it made me think he could have been saying, “He thinks *inside* the box.*

I completely agree with your rant about today’s American cartoons, by the way. I think of what they did to “Popeye” and “Tom and Jerry” in the ’80s and want to puke. It’s no wonder anime and manga are so incredibly popular now; Japan seems to have no such PC constraints.

Of course, there are a few notable exceptions… (*biker mice from Mars…biker mice from Mars…*)
