Some links if you can stomach them

Things may quiet down around here - it is Holy Thursday, after all, and we’re into the Triduum, but here are a few interesting posts and stories you may not have seen:

Fausta has thoughts on Syria, Pelosi and Tony Blair’s unbearable bendover.

Jules Crittenden has tons of links re the Brit Bendover and he’s relentless.

A while back I wrote about the differences between two women of the left, Oriana Fallaci and Rosie O’ Donnell. Now Kathryn Jean Lopez writes about two women of the right in an interesting piece on candidate’s wives. You’ll enjoy.

Speaking of Rosie O’ Donnell, Cartago Delenda Est links to incontrovertible proof that George W. Bush sank the Titanic.

Also speaking of her
- in a roundabout way - Gerald tells us that The New Yorker is working hard to prove her point that “Fundamentalist Christians” are as dangerous as “fundamentalist Islamists.” This goes right along with a high school performing “terrorist drills” and identifying the terrorists as “Right Wing Fundamentalists”. It must be great to be Rosie. You spout deluded and hysterical nonsense, and your friends in the press and the teacher’s unions reinforce it.

Iowa voice is noting that the Democrats, hopping mad over a few of Bush’s recess appointments didn’t mind when President Clinton made 139 of ‘em while he was president. Yes, I know, we always fall back on Clinton and it’s tiresome, but you know…Bush fires 8 US Attorneys and it’s a big deal. Clinton fired 93 (plus another 30 during his terms) and it wasn’t a big deal. Bush makes a recess appointment and it’s the end of the world. But Clinton…

The Democrats have to get consistent, sooner or later. The Voice also is looking at gasoline prices and notes that having a Democrat congress hasn’t seemed to have made a difference to them.

Good piece here
by Daniel Henninger wondering will the Democrats manage to defeat the surge, or will they defeat themselves. I can’t believe I even had to write that line…the democrats trying to defeat their own army…to, I guess…”save” it. Right?

What happens when your brother is taken from your orphanage and you are left all alone? Viola writes about it affectingly.

When even the WaPo is telling Pelosi to stop trying to be the alternative president, you know she’s making a balls of things.

The Boy Scouts
win a round against the tireless ACLU. The battle continues.

Gerald notes that this Saturday 150,000 Americans will come into full communion with the Catholic Church.

More musings on Sandy Berger’s pants.

Glenn Reynolds has great links to the so-called fear-industrial complex, newly identified by John Stossel, who seems right on.

Here’s a big surprise: Gorian Global Warmingists are harassing and threatening the folks who dared to examine Gore’s energy usage, and in vulgar, bigoted and sexist ways. What a peaceful and tolerant religion. I wonder if Rosie would call them “dangerous Fundamentalists” since they seem to want to oppress those who disagree with them….hmmm. And no, I don’t approve of any religious folk harassing others. It’s just not right.

Austin Bay has more thoughts on the embarrassment that is Nancy.

Siggy says that the left should realize that no matter how much they might wish it, the right is not going away.

    Thank you Anchoress!

    Another Case Where Science…

…creates the conspiracy. Research of A warm Swill salute to master theorist the Anchoress, who follows the smoking trail o’ surface bubbles to it’s obvious conclusion. Research of that caliber rates a mug…….
