May 25, 200710 year olds have more maturity: UpdatedSo Rosie O’ Donnell’s cheif writer (she has a writer?) was escorted from the building after drawing mustaches on promotional pictures of Elizabeth Hasselbeck, because O’ Donnell and Hasselbeck had a verbal tussle. Very grown-up behavior.
Reminds me of when the Clinton’s took all the W’s off the keyboards as they left the White House. Yeah…these are the folks who should be in charge, these miserable, spoiled perpetual adolescents. UPDATE: Apparently O’ Donnell will not be returning back to The View. She was happy, there, as long as she could carry on, making outlandish charges with impunity - “the first time in the history of the world that fire ever melted steel!” - but when called on to actually explain her own remarks and insinuations, without willing apologists ready to give her cover, she didn’t like it so much. Ah, well…my Auntie Lillie had an old saying:
Also writing: Joe Gandleman Related: Okay, that’s not actually what she said…but near enough. http://theanchoressonline.com/2007/05/25/10-year-olds-have-more-maturity/trackback/ 11 Responses to “10 year olds have more maturity: Updated” |

Unfortunately, we on the Right have had a large hand in spoiling them. The appropriate response to an adolescent temper tantrum is at mildest a public dressing-down, at harshest a good stiff spanking. But conservatives, by and large, have refrained from anything resembling even the mild pole of that spectrum, with the result that the temper tantrums have multiplied and intensified over time.
There are any number of “liberals” — the hijacking of that once honorable word still turns my stomach — who deserve to have all their sins enumerated on broadcast television, in prime time and with details, while a regiment of Dominican nuns in floor-length habits tap Bolo paddles menacingly in the background. There are a number who deserve to be behind bars for their abuse of the Constitution and the public trust. But we could never “lower ourselves” to such measures. That would be unacceptably “partisan,” wouldn’t it? Like the witchhunt for Alberto Gonzales and Tom DeLay isn’t.
Yeah, right.

My, My, My, the behavior of the “tolerant” crowd is so wonderful isn’t it. sarcasm off now.

Its all about them don’t you know, perpetual victims. Rosie is a big girl but evidently her friends and those that have or work for her are truly childish or maybe it’s just that they exhibit such childish behavior. People like Rosie and Joy and the other flamethrowers from the left are not able to put forth cogent arguments. All they can do is attack and repeat allegations and nonsensical lies and half truths and play the victim. When you ask them for facts or if you dare point out that they are wrong they really can’t stnad up and defend their positions. The truly troubling thing about this whole episode is that when you tell a lie enough times people actually believe it and Goebbles was definitely correct about that. Rosie and her ilk have perpetuated so many lies and half truths that they deserve a propaganda medal.

Well, it appears that little Elisabeth Filarski (whose one fault is marrying that boob Hasselbeck) delivered a knock-out punch because ABC is now reporting that the Rosie will not be returning to the show.

Calling Dick Tracy…
I don’t think it’s quite two-way capable yet, but still, your wrist TV awaits! Sadly though, here’s one person who won’t be on it–at least for now. But she left in quite a huff, not surprisingly…….

Do you know, Anchoress? Rosie is leaving “The View”, per ABC. No, not waiting till the end of the contract. She’s gone.

This is just rich. Young Elisabeth, who has been viewed with pitiful condescension by the other View ladies gets her back up and calls out Ol’ Rosie on a slanderous comment that actually was hurtful, and Rosie takes her ball and goes home. Oh, but have her head joke writer draw a mustache or two on some head shots - that’ll fix her wagon.
Kudos, Elisabeth, for sticking up for the small minority of crazies who thought Rosie’s remark was out of line.
My nomination to replace Ms. O’ Donnell? A very bright, well-spoken young woman who clearly doesn’t need anyone to write anything for her
Kristen Byrnes.

Elisabeth refused to defend Rosie’s idiotic statement and Rosie couldn’t take it. Hilarious! I never imagined Elisabeth would take out Rosie. Sometimes that happens when you stand by your principles.

Alan Colmes last night went on and on about how unfair Rosie’s departure was. I note, however, that he really wants to shut up Ann Coulter.

While I’m glad I have other things to do than watch The View during the day–like work–I’m very glad to hear that Elizabeth volleyed the ball right back at Rosie. She put the onus on Rosie to clarify or shut up. It reminds me of when I was a little kid in school. Sometimes you call the bully on his or her own terms and he or she will turn tail and run. Bullies are easy to spot too. They’re usually the mouthy ones.
