There is so much ‘good’ stuff in this clip.
Probably the most striking part–greater than her imperviousness to irony–was the frilly lady’s response (03:30) to the question: “so if we didn’t have police we wouldn’t have crime?” She didn’t actually *believe* her answer; she was transparent. I felt sorry for her.
The other little thing was the lady who interrupted the interview at 04:40. Check out her use of space. Textbook passive aggression (as I guy, this riles, and one other man I sent this to made the same note). By design not completely veiled. She’s one who understands where the line currently is in society–even Berkeley–and what she can get away with. If the line was more degenerate, you know she’d be right there, at that line.
I think everyone has known people like that and the last thing they should ever have is power.
The frilly dingbat; she still has a guttering light of reason in her head, however harried. The latter woman, however, was a thrall.
