I said last night that I thought Hillary would be smart to “suspend” her campaign, take a breather (and rest up) and then come barreling back at the Dem convention, when the party has begun to have buyers remorse on Obama, and he is tired and punchy. I doubt she’ll do it; even to suspend would be too much like weakness to her. Meanwhile, this is pretty cute.
I loved that! Thanks. I think Hillary needs to sit down ASAP. Maybe she can come out and make some statement about suspending her campaign to allow Obama to make his general election case and hope he sticks his foot in his mouth enough to turn it at the convention. But she needs to get out and leave the MI/FL thing alone.
Her Indiana win by 2% is extremely poor. She was never a strong candidate and she has made herself look weaker in the last few months.
I guess I don’t get this line of reasoning of Hillary Suspending her Campaign. Especially since she is about to rack up big wins in several States and the primary in Puerto Rico . I am just looking at this as a Republican from the outside looking in
Ie the end she has to get delegates and if Obama does make a gaffe Obama being ahead by even a hundred more delgates would seem to be bad. I mean we are talking a being caught in bed with a dead girl or live boy type of gaffe to overcome that.
I think there is a hidden story here of why the media is wanting to declare a winner. It is money. In the end they did not budget for a race that they thought would be over by Super Tuesday. The universe of us political addicts is limited and I suspect many outlets (Print, Cable, News Services) are already spending amounts that they expect too have fork out till well into the general.
We saw this conserving of fund occur when they had to go off Huckabee and thus his wins in Georgia, Tenn , and within a hair in Missouri came as sort of a suprise to people.
On my way home this evening, I was listening to some libs talk about the primaries. They don’t think Hillary will drop out or even suspend her campaign. The year Teddy K. ran, he went all the way to the convention even tho’ he only had 700 delegates. Likewise Jesse Jackson the year he ran. So, there’s precedent for a candidate to do that. Terry McAuliffe said that they were preparing a court fight if necessary to get the MI & FL votes counted, so I don’t think she’s down and out just yet. Who knows what might come out about Obama, or what his wife or his former preacher might say that is damaging to his campaign. I’ve actually enjoyed watching Operation Chaos…the object is to keep the “dims” in confusion & fighting with each other right up until the convention, spending their money to defeat each other rather than the Republican nominee. I would say it’s very likely that it will be the super delegates who end up deciding the nominee, so it’s not like “OC” will help one or the other “dim” nominee…it just keeps things hopping for a bit longer.
Nice preemptive strike also today vis-a-vis McCain. Apparently the AP requested his military records under the FOIA - and now they have been published and are nothing but GLOWING about McCain’s military service and his heroism. So much for trying to slap THAT foul canard on him that his “supposed bravery” was nothing but a sham! No folks on the Left, he really is a courageous hero. It’s hard for you leftist goofs to understand because your idea of a hero is that effete dimwit named John Kerry!
Well, she is now making an amazingly classless exit. It would be funny “white working-class people who haven’t gone to college are supporting me” if it weren’t so crass. What a woman.

Hillary ain’t done. Not by a long shot.
Does anybody think Obama will win WVA and KY? Gimme a break! I’d cede him my home in Puerto Rico, but c’mon!
